Entec convened the first of a series of user forums to bring together engineering, operations and maintenance people from across the gas sector. The evening was well attended and some excellent information was shared, we’re excited to arrange the next one!
Background
We’ve provided equipment, parts, service and technical support to New Zealand’s gas sector since Entec started in business in 1982. Indeed, the product around which Entec was founded was the Waukesha gas engine, which is known worldwide as a workhorse in the industry.
While Entec has successfully sold, installed and serviced around 20MW of power generation projects from landfill gas, digester gas and (occasionally) natural gas, the main focus of the Waukesha product now is powering reciprocating gas compressors.
Entec’s rotating equipment team is based in our New Plymouth facility and comprises ten factory-trained service technicians, backed up by a team leader, parts specialist and a substantial inventory of genuine OEM spare parts.
The undisputed market leader in global reciprocating gas compressors is Ariel Corporation, and Entec is proud to have served as Ariel’s New Zealand parts distributor for almost as long as our Waukesha relationship. Therefore, it was highly appropriate that our guest speaker at this first forum was Andrew Robertson, Ariel’s regional manager for Australasia. With decades of experience in the industry and decades of loyal service to Ariel, Andrew lives and breathes the product.
