Deloitte Energy Excellence Awards reflect NZ’s changing energy sector

JJ joined Entec in 2019 as an Instrumentation Technician in Auckland after immigrating from South Africa. JJ has 15 years instrumentation, control and calibration knowledge in the Food, Pharmaceutical and industrial sectors. With hard work and dedication JJ managed to move up into a few different positions during his 5 years at Entec and in 2024 got appointed to the new position as Taupo Branch Manager.

JJ has a passion to see people grow and likes challenging colleagues with new opportunities and “out of the box” thinking.

JJ lives in the beautiful Taupo with his wife Sonja. Outside of work he is a passionate golfer and loves exploring the back roads of New Zealand with friends and family.

Ali Al-Rawi joined Entec in 2024, bringing with him extensive international experience in oil and gas EPCC project management. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, an international MBA, and a degree in Psychology.

Ali thrives in a challenging environment, a quality he exemplified when he proposed to his significant other following a skydiving excursion, a moment that truly took her breath away. They are now proud parents of a young son, who serves as a source of inspiration for their personal and professional growth.

The young family has traveled extensively, and have lived in the UAE, Germany, and most recently relocating to Taupo, New Zealand. In his leisure time, Ali enjoys traveling, exploring new places and new food, engaging in outdoor adventures, barbecuing, and playing video games.

Jonny joined Entec in 2023 stepping into a technical sales position within the gas detection team. With over 15 years of experience in the gas detection field working as a technician, services manager and business development in previous roles, Jonny certainly has the expertise. Jonny has a passion for the products and services we provide and prides himself on going the extra mile for our customers.

Jonny, his wife Elise and son Lincoln enjoy biking, kayaking, time with family and pets. On a sunny day you’ll find Jonny at the air rifle range, on the motorbike, or hiking in the bush. On a rainy day he’ll be tinkering with his slot car track.

Before joining Entec in 2024 Shaun was a Senior Construction Engineer delivering a variety of multi-discipline projects in the upstream oil & gas sector.

Shaun has a fiancée and five amazing teenage kids who keep him busy. I enjoy going out with the family on our jetski, riding dirt bikes and generally anything to do with the outdoors.
