From a small start to a powerhouse team—see how we’re driving decarbonisation and shaping the future of industrial energy in New Zealand.

It’s been 2 years since we proudly announced the opening of our new location in the Central North Island, and we couldn’t be happier with the growth we’ve achieved in this thriving part of the country. The industrial and energy sectors in this region are playing a massive part in the decarbonisation of our national economy, providing excellent opportunities to grow our business in line with our key strategic objective to keep diversifying our revenue base.

From a fledgling start, we now have a permanent crew of 18 based in this branch; a team of 5 industrial electricians, 3 instrumentation technicians, 2 dual-trade I&E techs, supported by a dedicated branch manager, operations manager and project manager, an administrator and a planner.

And very importantly, continuing our commitment to training the next generation of skilled tradespeople, we have three apprentices who are a crucial part of the future workforce.

Our team spends most of their time in the geothermal world, which provides the type of hazardous area heavy industrial work in which we excel. We’ve been privileged to play a significant role in the construction of two of New Zealand’s newest power stations, one of which will generate enough renewable electricity to power 60,000 homes, plus numerous wellsite projects to support the ongoing drilling of new production and reinjection wells in the Taupo and Kawerau geothermal fields.

We’ve also participated in a number of large maintenance turnarounds, and provided services for maintenance and shutdown planning.

Outside of the geothermal industry, we provide assistance with instrumentation and electrical support for hydro and thermal power stations, the dairy industry, the pharmaceutical industry (animal & human health products), pulp and paper manufacturing, EV charging and green hydrogen production & dispensing.

And finally, we’re proud to have been involved in a highly innovative and exciting project with Clarus business First Renewables to inject biomethane into the natural gas network, helping to decarbonise the country’s natural gas resources.
